Patrons

Hon. Dato Paduka Idris Abas is a Newcastle graduate in Architecture from 1980 and a Member of the Legislative Council in the Parliament of Brunei Darussalam.     He is President of the Brunei Association of Architects, the Brunei Australia Alumni Association and Past President of the Asean Association of Planning and Housing.  He is also advisor to the Brunei Art Forum. Idris practises as Arkitek Idris in Brunei and is a significant personal sponsor of the Foundation. As Sponsorship Patron, he represents and promotes the interests of The Architecture Foundation throughout the world and promotes the benefits of and potential for sponsorship of the Foundation.

 

Colin Madigan. Retired architect, previously senior partner of Edwards, Madigan, Torzillo and Briggs, Architects, Sydney.  Col was a close friend and World War II naval colleague of Eric Parker known to swim crocodile infested waters to catch up with his navy mate.

 

 

 

 

Ruth Parker. Widow of Professor Eric Parker in whose memory the travelling scholarship was established, in 2001, at The University of Newcastle.
