The Parker Fellowship aims to assist in the development of future architects by providing students with a unique opportunity to travel abroad and pursue their interest in architecture, arts and culture. Scholars are required to keep a sketch book and record the experiences and lessons learnt through hand sketching, an invaluable architectural skill. This travelling scholarship is valued at $10, 000 and is one of the most valuable available to architecture students in Australia.
The Colin Madigan Commendation is sponsored by Julian Ashton Art School. The Colin Madigan Commendation introduced in 2010, allows students to further develop valuable artistic and graphic communication skills with a term of study at the Julian Ashton Art School.
The Graphisoft Australia Award is sponsored by Graphisoft Australia and awards a student with a perpetual licence to ArchiCAD STAR(T) which will enable the student to legally start their architectural business. Introduced in 2014 this award mirrors the values of The Parker Fellowship awards and conversely supports and develops students computer aided drafting skills.
Eligibility: The scholarships provided by The Architecture Foundation are only available to Years 1 to 4 architecture students currently enrolled at the University of Newcastle.
